LocalBusiness schema generator
Fill in your details and copy the code. It’s JSON-LD structured data that tells search engines and AI assistants your business type, address, phone and hours in a form they don’t have to guess at. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Why AI assistants and search engines use it
When ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI fetches your website to answer a question, it has to work out your hours and address from whatever the page says. Structured data states them directly. It’s one of the things our free AI website check looks for, alongside whether AI crawlers can reach your site at all.
It’s one piece. Assistants decide who to recommend mostly from reviews and listings like Google and Yelp, so the free business check is the way to see whether they recommend you today.
Questions
What is LocalBusiness schema?
A small block of code, written in a shared vocabulary from schema.org, that states your business name, type, address, phone, hours and profiles in a form machines don’t have to guess at. It sits in your page’s HTML and visitors never see it.
Does schema help with ChatGPT and other AI assistants?
It helps them read your facts correctly when they fetch your site. It won’t make an assistant recommend you on its own; reviews, your Google and Yelp listings and what your pages say matter more. Think of it as removing guesswork, not as a ranking trick.
Where do I paste the code?
In the <head> of your homepage, or wherever your site builder lets you add custom code: WordPress (a header-code plugin or your theme settings), Squarespace (Code Injection), Wix (Custom Code) or Shopify (theme.liquid). One copy on the homepage is enough for a single location.
How do I check it worked?
Paste your page’s address into Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator at validator.schema.org. Both show what they found and flag errors.
Should the details match my Google Business Profile?
Exactly. Same name, address, phone and hours everywhere is one of the strongest signals you can send. If the schema says one thing and Google says another, you’ve added confusion instead of removing it.
